Although... the high amount of details and similar colors, can confuse the watcher. You cannot see the most important motive (the characters) at the first point, 'cause all the environment is so confusing (and high detailed).
Well, what am I'm talking about?? I do and love details, too!!! And in my case, many pictures are confusind and "overloaded", too!
Maybe, it'd have been good for your artwork, to make the background more "smooth" and light - to make the impression of an "perspective-lightness". It's hard to explain and I don't know the words right now.

Overall, I don't mind all this and JUST LOOOOVE THAT AWESOME ARTWORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Could be a great boxart for a table top fantasy game!
